Alan Smith

Alan Smith is the owner and Audit Manager of WCS Quality Registrars LLC. A native of Scotland, Alan has been a prominent figure in the ISO auditing in Houston and North America since 1998. Prior to starting WCS Quality Registrars in July 2007, Alan was employed by OTS Quality Registrars, Inc. since 1998 where he steadily worked his way up to become the Vice President of the company. Alan is a Registered Lead Auditor, for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001 and AS 9100 Quality Management Systems with over 1000 audits logged.

Alan is educated to Masters Degree level in Metallurgical Engineering and has over 20 years experience in Quality Assurance Management. He has extensive experience in manufacturing including over 10 years experience in tier one automotive supply. Trained in Statistical Process Control at the Dearborn Institute of Technology in Detroit Michigan, he taught SPC at Fanshawe College of Technology in Ontario, Canada. Alan has worked and educated on five continents with extensive work experience in Europe, Canada, South Africa and the United States.

Evelyn Smith

Evelyn W. Smith is the Business Manager of WCS Quality Registrars LLC. Making sure the administration side of the company is running smoothly, Evelyn and her staff are responsible for audit reports, plans, invoicing and off course following up on those corrective actions!

Evelyn has a background in finance, qualified to degree level in economics. Evelyn was for over 15 years employed as a Banking Officer at several financial institutions in her native home, Scotland. In the past 12 years Evelyn was instrumental in the start up and operations of the Training Division of OTS Quality Registrars, Inc. A keen fitness enthusiast teaching corporate fitness classes in her spare time, she does her best to keep our team here at WCS Quality Registrars, LLC in shape.

Catherine Raiford

Katie joined our staff in February 2009 and is our Houston office manager and responsible for audit reports, CARs, certificates and the general running of the office.

Tracey Taft

Tracey joined our staff in September 2009 after 14 years in the medical field in office administration and as a medical assistant. Here at WCS she is responsible for maintaining our client files, audit planning and reports, follow up activities and general office duties.

Steve Putman

Steven M. Putman hails from Tulsa Oklahoma, and is a professional auditor and trainer ISO 9001, AS9100, and OHSAS 18001. His background and education is in the areas of Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Operations Management, and Polymer Chemistry. Steve has over eight years experience in Quality Management System implementation, auditing, and manufacturing management in rubber, plastics, composites, fiberglass, and steel fabrication for the oil and gas, aerospace, DOD, and automotive industries.

In addition, Steve is trained in the principles of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, and SPC. His extensive experience and wide ranging knowledge of business management disciplines and strategies ensures that each audit is value added.

Steve has recently opened a WCSQR Regional office in Tulsa, OK and is responsible to support area clients.

Miguel Nieves

Miguel was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and is a profesional auditor and trainer for ISO 9001, AS9100, and OHSAS 18001. His background and education is in the area of Quality Control for the Aerospace Industry. Miguel has over fifteen years of experience in Quality Management System implementation, auditing, training, and quality management in fast paced automotive manufacturing, aerospace and non-destructive testing industries. His fluency in Spanish allows him to conduct audits in either the English or Spanish language.

In addition he is an ASQ certified quality technician, has trained in principles of Lean Manufacturing, TQM, SPC, Six Sigma, Quality Cost and Auditing, Team Dynamics, and many problem solving methodologies. His extensive knowledge in diverse manufacturing environments ensures that value will be added to each audit.

Sarah

Sarah Smart has been a full-time Lead Auditor and Consultant for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 Standards for 7 years. Her fluency in Spanish has allowed her to work throughout Latin America as well as provide a comprehensive audit experience for US companies that have a Spanish-speaking workforce. Coming from Detroit, MI her primary focus has been sectors related to the automotive supply chain.

Sarah is an IRCA certified Lead Auditor and Lead Auditor Instructor for the ISO 9001 and 14001 sectors. She has trained Lead Auditors in India, Thailand, Mexico, and the United States. Sarah has a Bachelors in International Studies and two minors in Environmental Studies and Spanish from the University of Saint Thomas Houston, TX and Mar del Plata, Argentina.
